Anyone recognise this weird tank?
« on: March 14, 2021, 12:55:43 AM »
Hey folks I have a mystery 25/28mm tank/apc which I picked up on eBay some time ago. As you can see the casting isn’t great and it in a nice yellow resin which makes me wonder if it’s an older 80s resin model but I’ll be darned if I can work out where it came from. I like it and would love to track down more!

I seem to vaguely recall a now defunct company, in the 1990s, called Faust studios who made a selection of funky resin sci-fi tanks as well ww2 and mad Max vehicles they were bought by second city games years ago. I'm pretty sure it's one of theirs.

Yeah the casting sure looks like ones from Second City - yellow resin and bubbles. Have several stuff from them just like that. Better send them a message since their listings on Ebay are a mess to search  ::)

Second city are listing one sci-fi APC noted as a Faust studios product on their eBay store it's not your one though sadly.

If you want more of those ATAC "aliens" looking APCs then Scotia Grendel has them along with the  weird little Void1,1 APCs, and the Corvus drop ship which I have no idea where it came from, and a flying car. They also have the old resin Kryomek vehicles that came in wheeled, treads, flying, or later hover-craft versions. One has missile launchers, one has a big mortar/field gun thing, one has a small turret for an APC and one has a larger tank turret. And they have two kinds of decent sized walkers as well. They have some of the Viridian dinosaur tanks, and the desert attack buggies for the junkers as well. They used to have the Korvus Wlaker and the big quad Walker for VOID but they passed them on to SEB game who seem to be out of them and have been for some time.
