Various medieval figures
« on: March 14, 2021, 06:00:42 PM »
Hi and welcome to the thread where I'll be posting my progress in painting far too many medieval figures. I don't have a strict scale I follow and not all bits and pieces will be matching up exactly when it comes to the time that certain helmets and the like were used. I just don't have the knowledge to distinguish everything and I believe that many pieces of equipment that were dated would still have been used, if only because they already were there and were more affordable.

But, enough talking. Here are the first few figures:

Nice colours.

I think accuracy matters little if you are painting what you like for the pleasure of it and just for you.
Memories of technicolor films with a medieval theme had all sorts of helms and it looks 'right", unless you know.

That said, the crossover between fantasy and medieval is seamless, except with fantasy - you choose what is allowed

Call them medieval and you'll be in the stocks, call them fantasy and it's thumbs up.

Looking forward to seeing more.
Exodus 1:10 KJV
Come on, let us deal wisely with them; lest they multiply, and it come to pass, that, when there falleth out any war, they join also unto our enemies, and fight against us, and so get them up out of the land.

He's indeed from the Barons' War range from Footsore (who will incidentally have a new Kickstarter starting tonight).
