Rejigged my setup to represent the Dien Bien Phu Valley in the mountainous region of NW Vietnam. This board will see French Paras dropping in to seize the airfield from the Viet Minh.

Those sneaky Viet Minh have fortified the jungle around the airstrip, so it's not going to be an easy mission for the French.

What are the two boxes (look a bit like beehives) near one of the bridges?

Wow.  That's some lovely terrain.

I could also be a remote airstrip somewhere in Central/South America - perfect for a drug war scenario or any of the various wars/revolutions in that region...just sayin'...
