Lovely.  Lovely, I tell ya!  Mike's right - that's a table worth playing on.

But in the "Nobody asked you..." category, it takes 2 of those CH46s to haul around a full Marine Rifle Platoon. They hold about 25 or so dismounts (18 before about 1967) - they actually hold a few less than an Army CH47 Shithook.  Just an FYI.

Gentlemen: if you lived in the UK, then both of you would be very welcome to throw some dice with me in ShedHQ.

Mike: The CH46 is running to sorties to the FOB, half a platoon folding down in each run  ;)

Indeed! Very atmospheric.

Hopefully it won't take as long for those aboard that DC-3 to disembark as it did the last time I landed at Tan Son Nhat. An hour and a half to make it through to immigration and customs. Of course they are building a new airport with more capacity  but I more than suspect that any time saved will be lost with the much longer commute in from Long Thanh, which is miles away.

That table looks great. Great to play on and great for creating some cracking photos. And as the happy owner of a new shed myself, I’m enjoying how yours looks….👍

That would be amazing. Next time I am in the UK, I will take you up on that for sure...! Oh, by the way, Mike Demana (me) is Mike. Capn Jim is actually Jim.  :D  I know I have a hard time keeping track of everyone's real names, too. It is almost like we should start a thread for first names...  lol

A.  I'd be happy to throw some dice and push some lead/plastic with you, should I ever find myself in your neck of the woods.

B.  That's a lovely game you did there.  What scale is that C-47?

C.  Getting a dedicated hobby building is indeed one of the best hobby purchases I've made.   It was also an investment in marital continuance, particularly now that we're both retired... 8)

You would be very welcome Jim.

I believe the plane is 1/60 scale, but it works with 28s, but my preferred scale is !/50.

Thanks.  1/60 is close enough for its size. I may need to hunt one down.  My OH6 Little Bird (it appeared in my Northern Gambola Aid Convoy AAR) is about 1/60, and it works for 28mm...
