Necromunda in 15mm
« on: March 15, 2021, 01:47:22 PM »
Well there seems to be a lot of interest in Necromunda these days. I ended up reading through some of the older rules and really enjoying the setting and background story.  As I have no history with the game I made some modifications.  A few years ago I bought some of the Pegasus Platformer sets to make some Star Wars models.  I didn’t really like the kits and put them away.  After looking at some examples of Pocketmunda(Necromunda in 15mm) I started hacking the models and adding lots of plasticard.  Since the style is rusty and grimy I gave the pieces a pretty simple paint job.  I have a lot of models for gangers.

I never thought on playing skirmish games in small scale, but why not? Looks good!

Those Pegasus kits look quite good in 15mm.  Have to see if I can find a few.

Nice idea  :D, there are certainly a lot of cool Post-apoc and ganger style figures in 15mm now, and terrain really does "pop" at 15mm scale I think.

15MM really allows the terrain to shine...and is much easier to store.

Really nice job.  Looking forward to seeing more of your project.

This is a great little project.

Might have to dig-out my platformer sets now.

 What is planned next then?

Since I don`t have great proxies of the gangs from Necromunda, I thought I would make my own:

Crimson Botherhood - Blood cultists
The Killatons - Mutant nuclear survivors
Mortalis - disenfranchised punks
The Fuzz - Judge, jury, executioner
Hardware - sentient machines

Finished the board, added some containers, and took some pictures.  Thanks again to Calimero for his help with the minis!

Old Glory UK have the Blue Moon Sci-Fi range in which might give you a few more options for different factions.Looks to be some interesting figures in the range.

I like the quick and dirty terrain board. I love this every bit as much as over-the-top detailed terrain. Maybe more because it is beautiful and functional while most highly detailed terrain is just pretty to look at.
