Frosty dice tray - 12mm, 1/144th scale
« on: March 19, 2021, 02:18:22 PM »
I'll be hoping to get this onto the side of a game board in a couple of months - as a dice tray, but for now it'll have to be a little scenic instead -

Very nice.
Below is a link to my blog. It's the place where I write uninteresting things about little toy soldiers. I do this because I refuse to grow up and behave like an adult.

Very nice.

A couple of questions, what brand are the tanks? And quite what will you use this for in a game?

Melnibonean and Fred, thank you guys!  :)

The Luchs is from Pro-Hobby, and the StuG a Dragon CanDo model (both repaints and winterized).

Fred, I can use this base with the new 'O' Group rules, or with our local group's modded for miniatures version of the Tank On Tank board game rules, which also uses Action Points for ordering units.  Here's one of those games in action.....geez, how I want to get back to the gaming table!!!

(Btw Fred - long admired your 10mm website Sir!)

Thanks - wasn’t thinking of the older plastics, so didn’t recognise them

Makes sense - having the ability to swap out the vehicle gives some nice flexibility. I’m thinking of making some new command stands for O Group, as my current ones from BKC look a bit higher level with radio trucks and command vehicles, which doesn’t quite feel right for a battalion commander.

Thank you very much! It hasn’t been updated in far too long.

Fred,

I think you're right about the look for the 'O' Group Battalion stands, and the only one I've made so far like that was for the Brit Paras -

https://leadadventureforum.com/index.php?topic=129501.0

I'm trying to use extra or existing minis, especially if they're going to be set in stone on a rules-specific base.

I'm also not sure what traction we're going to get here in the local game group with 'O' Group - it's focused for 2-players at the Bn.-level, or for multi-player with Battlegroups........the latter not being something I'm going to be able to host from my collection.  Thus, thinking the mechanized focus that we've come to play at (largely with static/defending infantry forces) will mean we continue with our existing club-set of rules (not to say we won't steal some ideas from 'O' Group either).  8)
