After a short unforeseen delay, Nick Collier has now completed Bloody Release 6, and they've gone off to be moulded. I hope you'll agree Nick's really excelled himself with these figures  8)

First up, it's the long-awaited 'The Witchfinder General' - the remorseless inquisitor himself, his myopic clerk, a beefy trooper, and an unfortunate country wench. All the miniatures are, of course, very useful character figures in their own right.

Next we have 'The Pikemen en Melee' - four figures in a mix of distinctive pikeman's armour including one in full gear with tassets, plus a couple less well equipped, and all in pikeman's pot morions. Armed with small swords, daggers, axes, and the pointy end of a broken-off pike. In fighting poses, as the push of pike has descended into a bloody scrap.

'The Continental Mercenaries' are a band of hard-bitten, well-equipped veterans with a Thirty Years War edge. In advancing poses wielding hammers, swords and pistols.

And for those of you co-opting Bloody Miniatures for 'The Three Musketeers' (Andy F, I'm looking at you!) I think there's a rather good new option for Porthos in there, complete with one Obelix style plait ;)

And finally, it's 'The Ragged Trayned Band', a crew of shabby, slovenly militiamen in ill-assorted headgear, ratty clothes, and armed with antiquated matchlocks and musket rests. Or perhaps these are just poor, ragged soldiers at the end of a long campaigning season.

There's also a second set of 12 separate heads (not pictured) in assorted soft hats.

The new figures now need to go through the various stages of mastering and moulding, and thence into production – all of which takes a few weeks. All being well though, they’ll be in the Bloody web store around the third week in May 2023. Watch this space  :)

Well, those are all “must buy”  :o

Lovely work as always. (I see a montero has made it through. I suppose it makes sense. A nice set of 12 soft hat alternatives will make amends  lol .)

Hi Richard, Congrats on your latest release. It takes the last release to get my bum off the seat and look to painting miniatures this coming Winter. Just purchased four packs plus some heads and weapons to keep me going with conversions while waiting for your next tranche to be available.

Cheers,
Helen
Best wishes,
Helen
