They look fantastic. I'm going to have to get some of them.
Just one question (and I don't have any real depth of knowledge in this area, so please bear with me) but why don't the musketeers have stands?

Thanks all :)

Apparently, although musket rests were used extensively in the early part of the ECW, and in the earlier phases of the TYW in Europe, by the time the ECW was in full swing, they were dropping out of fashion. I don't know why to be honest. I guess muskets had become a bit lighter, or techniques improved?

I was planning on doing a separate sprue of musket rests for these chaps, but they'd be pretty fine and fiddly to cast, so I decided against it in the end. Not sure they'd have paid back the cost to have them made and moulded.

Now those look good! Mind you, I haven't even begun to put paint to the last Bloody order I made, so no extra shiny for me anytime soon!

If anyone should want musket rests to go with these figures, I know that TAG does sell them separately, although they may be a bit short (TAG infantry are, generally, a bit shorter than the Bloody infantry).

Bloody Miniatures next release (number 9) is now available in the Bloody webstore  8)

https://www.bloodyminiatures.co.uk/shop-1

Consisting of:

BM056: ‘These Our Captains’
Three bold commanders to serve as historical or fictional personalities of your choice. Cromwell? ‘Black Tom’ Fairfax? Waller or Hopton? You decide. These three mounted notables are generic enough to serve as any number of generals or colonels of the period, in the British Isles - or indeed the Rhineland, Low Countries or Bohemia.

BM057: ‘The Gentlemen At Arms’
A command party to serve with any of our mounted packs.
An officer in three-quarter armour and feathered hat; a cornet in burgonet, half armour and short tassets, and a trumpeter tootling his little heart out in a fancy lace-trimmed coat.

BM058: ‘The Bold Dragooners’
Classic mounted dragoons: short coats, broad brimmed hats, gaiters, bandoliers, firelock muskets. Mounted infantry like this did much of the dirty work in many a small and fierce English Civil War action.

BM059: ‘The Horse Pistols’
Pistol-armed troopers, lightly equipped in buff coats and lobster tailed pots.
Scouts or foragers perhaps. Or rear rank cavalry supporting their more heavily armed and equipped harquebusiers to the fore.

BM062: ‘They Also Serve’
A dismounted dragoon horse holder and three riderless mounts.
The stirrups and leathers come on a separate sprue, can be cut to length as desired, and glued into a cunning indentation down the flank of each horse. Alternatively, leave the leathers longer and bend them, so they can be thrown up over the saddle. (This practice avoided loose dangling stirrups getting tangled up - an eventuality that could prove fatal in a hasty scrambled remount and withdrawal).

There are also various deals available, including BM060: ‘A Sound of Trumpets’ and BM063: ‘A Dash of Dragoons’ :)
