Thanks Colin :)

And thank you, Lance, for the ear-worm lol

Meanwhile, here's a gratuitous close-up of the swordsmen...

These look great.

Not really a period I've gamed much but just ordered a couple of packs to see.  :D

Best of luck with the new venture, look forward to seeing what is added next.

I've only just found this thread. Very nice selection of figures that will eventually be ordered for my ECW/30YW skirmish project. I've gone in for the newsletter to keep me in the loop until I'm clear to be able to order the figures. :P

Sorry, but I gotta do this,
"Its better to have bought (these figures) & lost (some money)
than not have bought at all"

Looking forward to more in this range.

Those are lovely but I feel deflated as I know that I am never going to be able to paint mine so neatly .... sniff  :'(

They really are very very nice*. Good luck with the new venture Captain, although with figures of that quality you don't need any luck whatsoever, and your honorofic Lead Baron will be assured.

* even though they are the wrong size - they'll be more than head and shoulders above my true 15mm (Sits back and waits for the 'people are different heights, a bit of height variance adds realism' argument)
www.keepyourpowderdry.co.uk gaming the British Civil Wars in 15mm, and home of the ECW travelogue - dreadful painting, mediocre prose

Good stuff, thank you Steve. Glad you like them :)

While waiting on my restock of castings to arrive (::)) I’ve amused myself with a simple head swap.

It may seem a tad deviant to launch a lovely new range of figures and immediately start cannibalising them. But with a necessarily modest 16 figures in the initial release, until the next 16 arrive (a few months’ time, all being well), the only way to extend the range for gaming (whilst avoiding duplicates) is to carry out a little minor surgery!

In this case, it’s a very simple procedure: a starter cut around the neck with a Stanley knife; sawn gently through with a regular hacksaw blade; drill a couple of mm into both the head and the torso with a 0.8mm drill; pin with a short piece of wire, and superglue. Finally, clean up and make good around the collar and hair with a tiny amount of Green Stuff (long hair of this period can cover a multitude of sins - although actually there was hardly any covering to do. The cuts were very clean).
I’ve also added a Green Stuff beard and moustache to the soft-hatted figure. Total procedure – under an hour, and gives me a handy unit of six dismounted troopers for 'The Pikeman's Lament' rules.

Originals on the outside, Frankenstein creations in the middle :)

Good idea, I may do the same for some more dismounted troopers.

 :o

Geez, Richard!

What a surprising yet delightful announcement. Wishing you gobs of luck. But I think in this case, there probably isn't anyone better prepared to launch an ECW miniatures company than you.

Just don't take out a second mortgage... okay?  ;)
