I’m a lot younger than you  ;)

Everyone's a lot younger than me.
There was a great line in the film Lion in Winter,
where Henry II 'Good God I'm the oldest man I know!
I've got ten years on the Pope!!!'
 lol lol lol

Thank you Florian. Yes, I think Nick has captured the spirit of the age ;) Good for the Thirty Years War in Germany too, yes?  :D

Indeed, Richard!

In the town where we are currently living, we even have a bit of local folkore. A group of looters called „Dat wählige Rott“ (roughly translated „the jolly pack“) is said to have stolen a Catholic banner when Tilly besieged the city. That would be a nice project.

Just now I’m fully working on a special exhibition in my real job, but after April 1st I’ll have time again!

That does sound interesting - more details please!

In other news, my order from Bloody Miniatures arrived today, cracking service, cracking figures.

Now I have them, a theory I had has been confirmed….the guys with two pistols and the carbine from the Moss Troopers, they really do look like a 17th Butch & Sundance bursting out the stables….

Glad you’re pleased with the figures  :)

Now you come to mention it, I can see a passing resemblance  lol
(Although I don’t think either of those Bloody Miniatures have quite the looks of Redford and Newman  ;)

:D can just imagine O'Toole delivering that line (haven't seen the film).

Oh you MUST!   A very enjoyable, well acted  & very
well written film.
Henry II (O'Toole)
Eleanor of Aquitaine (Katrine Hepburn)
& Antony Hopkins in his first major role.

Lots of political infighting between
Henry, Eleanor, Arthur, Richard (Lionheart), John &
the young French King. Great fun. :D

Yes, the film is packed with witty and very quotable lines (though it is perhaps a tad too witty and dialogue-heavy for its own good sometimes : you can definitely tell it was a stage play before it was adapted for the big screen).

Here are a couple of my favourites :

* "You know I know. I know you know I know. We know Henry knows, and Henry knows we know it. We're a very knowledgeable family"

* Henry II: "I marvel at you after all these years. Still like a democratic drawbridge: going down for everybody".
Eleanor of Aquitaine: "At my age there's not much traffic anymore."

* Geoffrey: [to Prince John] : "If you are a prince, there is hope for every ape in Africa."

Just a quick message to thank Richard for this fantastic range and service. Ordered the ship of fools deal and some extra moss troopers and weapons on Wednesday night. Order arrived here in Scotland on Friday morning.
Minimal flash and beautiful sculpting. All now prepared and ready for painting. My plan is to use most of them for the 1650s Deluge. As Nick Collier has sculpted Poles and such for TAG, they should blend well enough.
Thanks again Richard. I will be back and encourage all to have a look at this amazing range!

Thanks Scott. Glad you like them and thanks for the feedback  :)

Slight delay on release 3, but I now have the metal masters for painting, and here they are, primed:

Also the separate head sprues, for the bold converters amongst us...

And some sample headswaps... No Green Stuff, just chop off the old head, clean up the neck, drill a 2mm hole, snip a new head off the sprue leaving a couple of mm of the 'neck' spigot, and pop it into place with a spot of superglue. Simples :)

In other news...

I note this morning that Royal Mail have arbitrarily jacked their postage prices up across the board by a very punchy 15% - 20%  ::)

Unfortunately, it means that my flat rate £2.50 UK shipping cost is going to have to increase accordingly, and international shipping costs as well. Just so you know... :(

Excellent! The head sprues should prove popular! :)

Those separate heads will be extremely useful. A figure can look completely different just with a different head in a different position.
