French Gendarmes Squadron, led by General Odet de Foix, Vicomte de Lautrec (1485-1528). He was made Marshal of France in 1527 and given the command of the army of Italy.

+1 for Pete's Flags!  8) 8) 8) He hand paints all of them before digitally storing them and as a former BA in Fine Arts student I can see the extra "painterly" work Pete has but into the designs making them superior to the purely digitally designed.

what a brilliant approach ... so effective  - you can tell they've been hand-painted originally, and works with painted figures so well.

Lovely figures & flags.
Italian Wars was the first club campaign I ever got involved in.
Seeing this does give me a hankering to revisit it.
Being realistic it would have to be at skirmish level, but
there are a lot of nice figures out there now. I still remember
having to carve pistols off all of the Essex Spanish Cavalry,
cuz we wuz doing 'Early' & Dey didn't 'ave dem den.  ;D
