Ah thanks.  Very taken with Charles and will be recommending that set to my gaming partner who is modellling the French, whilst I am raising the Spanish.

One Great looking project. What rules are you planning on using for them?

Great looking Charles, and a decent rule set. I planning on doing a Tudor army for Furioso as well.
"Peace" is that brief, glorious moment in history when everybody stands around reloading.

Ken from Yarkshire Gamer put me on to this rule set.

Same, I think he has turned many onto the Italian wars.

Yeah, me too. First heard of them on Ken's Yarkshire Gamer Vlog. With a few minor tweaks they ought to play very well and have a high degree of (ugh, here's that word again), "period" feel.

The outskirts of Pavia in Italy’s Lombardy Region 1525. Just playing around with my Mediterranean layout ready for the Italian Wars.

Excellent stuff Gareth  :-* :-* :-*

Am I right in thinking that most of it is Grand Manner?

Yes mate, I have the full set of Dave's Mediterranean buildings, supplemented by some lovely 3D prints, such as the town hall with the clocktower

The town hall seems to mix seamlessly into the Grand Manner spread. I'll pop that chap another email again and see if he has the time as of now to print one out :)
