Would you say they are the same scale as Front Rank, or smaller? I got some of the Athena billmen and archers, and found there was a bit or a range of different sizes, some scale well with Perry, whereas others look bigger and more suited to go alongside Front Rank.
I'm quite fussy with this sort of thing, and would like to get some more of the Athena range but don't want to find they are too big.

Both ranges mix perfectly, I wouldn't judge size difference until you have some painted examples

Yep, that's the way to do it. There are some manufacturers that you might never think would go together. I've got all sorts of stuff in my Anglo Danish units that at first glance I would not have thought of putting together, when painted though, they just meld together- (link below if you're interested):

The Black Band marched into Italy in 1515 in time to fight alongside King Francis I at the Battle of Marignano, where, defending the ditch and supported by artillery, they recoiled from the attacking Swiss, but did not break.
