Another great piece Helen  8)

If I may ask, what was an “Over”?

Thank you. An "Over" are the rounds from muskets/rifles that when fired have initially gone to high, but if you were further up the slope there is a chance of catching one. QM Bloomfield was killed by one. He was standing on a wagon at the time.
Best wishes,
Helen

Lovely conversion work again Helen. I love this Chaplain George Smith figure.

Thank you Mike. One of my favourite miniatures that Michael has sculpted. I see yours, very nice too and I spy Surgeon Reynolds in the background. Next up from me will be my chief surgeon vignette with Army Hospital Corps orderly.

Cheers.

Army Hospital Corps (AHC) alongside the Army Medical Department weaving their magic in attending to the wounded.

The surgeon and wounded are straight out of the box. The AHC started off as an artillerymen from the British Intervention Force in the Perry Miniatures range. Surgical Box from the Sudan Range. Head conversion and liquid green putty for facial detail (heavy shift mould on face and helmet)  insignia and extra buttons.

Next up are some Naval Officers that have been remodelled. After that, Zulu Command and Army Hospital Corps Stretcher party.

Thanks for looking.

So many nice character vignettes. We don't often see this many in projects. Most wargamers (myself included) don't tend to bother with them, because there are always too many fighting figures needed, and they tend to take priority in the queue.

But it's great to see so many in this project.

A few more additions to the project.

Commander Campbell RN was with Number One Column under Col Pearson with his naval elements from HMS Active. I used the Mounted Naval Commander from the Perry Miniatures Sudan Range with a right arm and head swap. Horse from the Perry Miniatures Victoria's Little Wars Range.

This navy officer on foot has had his right arm and head swapped. The right arm holding binoculars actually had a left arm as well. This is from the Zulu period plastic British command frame.

Lastly another plastic red coat waving his hat.

Thanks for looking.

I’m a bit late coming to this thread - but at least I get to scroll back and see loads of cracking figures!

These latest ones are great, both the conversions and the painting, which has lovely bright colours.

More great stuff, Helen!

I particularly like the last one. He's very characterful, but I also identify with him, as I have been in that situation a few times myself. More often caused by beer or cider than by Zulus, mind.

As long as you have your pith helmet to wave to attract help, you should be good    lol
