Many thanks guys.

Started painting the BM dismounted cavalry AND a with tonight!   I need to get hold of a few Nick Collier musketeers in non firing poses, and a smattering of horrors.   The ghouls from Haslefree caught my eye, along with a few bits from other world miniatures, but I’m not really familiar with undead miniature manufacturers so happy to take advice.

I also need to find seventeenth century civilians….

Hopefully a few more grave stones and bits and bobs arriving over the next few days so I’m going to sort out the paving on the remaining sections ready for dressing.   I’m sticking with the same packs of grave stones that I’ve already used seeing as they work well and are not too “fantasy” in appearance.   I also ordered a few sarcophagi and grave covers from Ainsty who made the one used already.  The sarcophagi are great for hiding behind.

A great hint to anyone using the plastic Renedra headstones….paint the backs, sides and any smooth flat surfaces with a little textured paint before undercoating them.  Looks more narptural, especially when weathering.

Are you going to include an open grave?
Could be a new one. We once had a customer
at the Bank who was the Parish Grave Digger.
'One of the few jobs where you start at the top,
then work your way down' he used to say. lol

Also useful for the Resurrection Men  :o

Yup, but as a stand alone piece that can swap in and out…useful for this kind of game but not do much for ww2.

A relative of mine, Joan, sadly passed now, was apparently the first recorded female grave digger in England!

I beg to differ. I do recall that there were...
one or two deaths in WW2.   :D
They must have been buried, somewhere.
Why not in a graveyard?  ??? ???

Sorry you meant a fresh open grave….I have bought an open coffin with rotting corpse in it….I thought you meant that one.   Yes I can do that.

I now have a pair of what I consider to be the best ever model trees.  Such a shame they now cost. a kings random if you can pick them up.

A real bugger to glue this plastic and I will add a little gs before painting the bark.  The leaves are too flexible for paint I think…so as they have aged a bit anyway, I may just leave them.  Yes, I could try and find a willow, but I think a pair of these in the grave yard will look ok.

NOW you tell me!!!!  :o :o :o
About 10 years ago, during my (ever ongoing)
clear outs I could not GIVE AWAY a bag full of them.
Sold the lot for a song to a 54mm wargames group. :'(

I might still have...one.  Are you interested?
& if I can find it, that is.

Waaaaaay back I saw a picture of a 25mm Agincourt game,
both woods were FULL of those Britains Oak trees. It was a
real eye-opener for me with (at that time) half a dozen tiny
Merit trees for my woods. lol lol lol

Yup, I do like them myself.

So, the next “faction” are the dismounted cavalry, great minis from Bloody Miniature.

My favourite minis being the two front and left.

In the future I might add a handful more Mancs and a unit of God Awfuls (Godolphins) because I like their jackets.

Also started on the second batch of floor plates so I can extend the yard nicely.

These will cure over the next few days whilst I await more grave stones!

Now to try and find some suitable stone benches.

Also, I have popped a request in “Wanted” if anyone can help I’d appreciate it, cheers.

But which witch has appeared?  :D
Continuing nice work.

David, if you have no joy with the stone benches
I'll scratch build you one, or two.
Just send me a picture of what you have in mind.
