That is indeed a very clean looking print, David.
The Norman keep I've just painted is not quite such a good print job. It's absolutely fine from a few inches away - the print striations on the stone elevations are pretty faint. But on the angled roof slates they're a lot more visible (if you look closely that is. They're still pretty invisible at tabletop distance).
I guess this is the thing with 3D printed scenery... Although the stl files may all come from the same design house (Printable Scenery in the case of both your church and Norman keep), the actual quality of the printed model probably varies from vendor to vendor, depending on how good their printers are and what raw material they're piping through them.
I've now ordered stuff from two different 3D printing outfits (both doing the Printable Scenery stuff - although interestingly, which particular models they carry seems to vary a lot from vendor to vendor) to compare and contrast, and see if there is any significant difference in the quality / definition of the finish
