Catalan Army 1713-14
« on: April 06, 2021, 02:37:47 PM »
I am pleased to say that the latest issue of the Pike and Shot society magazine, Arquebusier, has been published. Members should have it or receive it soon.

It contains the first part of a detailed look at the Catalan army in 1713-14

In addition this issue features the usual selection of interesting articles covering the period the society focuses on. In this case a detailed look at the service of 'British' regiment that fought in the European wars in 1627-30, a look at Croatian flags at Mohac in 1526, maritime losses in the 1620's  and various reviews. One of these reviews, of tactics in the 1670's and 90's is in addition to being a review packed with other facinating details on the subject by two renowned authorities on the subject.

Overall another excellent edition of the magazine.

Hi, I've been browsing the Pike & Shot Society website, and it seemed to me that Arquebusier was only available to membership.
Am I missing anything? (not my smartest day today, I admit).

Lluis, yes, I think you have to join the Society to receive Arquebusier.

Yes I am afraid you have to be a member of the society. But that is, I think, relatively cheap and also entitles you to discounts on other society material you might find interesting.
