The Marines Dr.F wayspointing out, by the way, are very slim minis, around 60mm to the eyes, if standing straight ;)

Ah yes, I had forgotten Tehnolog! Silly really as I have some of their figures to review - I must look them out to see what could be used in the context of our games ideas. Thyanks for reminding me Stroblight.

Apart from Airfix (retro style) and Britains (odd style), Timpo also did some, mainly Captain Scarlet style, but also some very old cosmonauts.
The local seafront shops used to have assorted bags of cheap spacemen, usually Apollo style astronauts, sometimes with aliens, occasionally very hard silver plastic (like cake decorations).
