Bee Keepers
« on: March 29, 2021, 03:05:23 PM »
Midlam had these gems and I could not help picking them up as i have a long term fantasy/medieval village project.  I usually pick up two or three pieces a year but I have an order of twenty fantasy villagers coming from the Reaper Bones 5 Kickstarter so I may be wrapping up the miniature side of the project.  Built the sheds a bit tall so they could be properly seen into.

My attempt at scale bees using sand.

More pictures on my blog if you are interested.
Hope you like.

I like these a lot! I'm a big fan if Midlams fantasy villagers (I've just had delivery of a load of peasants from their latest kickstarter.

The huts are brilliant, and the sand bees works very well!

They look very nice and the sand bees are a great idea.  But it also immediately made me think of this:

Now what is this whole life of mortals but a sort of comedy, in which the various actors, disguised by various costumes and masks, walk on and play each one his part, until the manager waves them off the stage?

Thanks for the comps all.
Gangleri, that is just wrong.  Bad thing is I am allergic to bee so having a hood like that on my head would drive me nuts.

Really nice work  :-* I am particularly interested in your sheds as I have a very similar project in planning for traditional Chinese bee hive sheds. Interesting idea withe sand.
Got to kick at the darkness till it bleeds daylight.
