attack on McPherson's Ridge 1863 12mm or Epic
« on: April 01, 2021, 06:51:06 PM »
The opening attack on McPherson's Ridge (Gettysburg) 1863.

A scenario using Kallistra 12mm figures, which might also interest those painting up their newly released warlord Games Epic figures.

Interesting read Norm, must admit I am quite interested in the Warlord epic range and by all accounts the Kallistra range works well with them. :)

Thanks, my Epic has just arrived. It looks to be a good value box, though at this point, I am not sure what to do about it, as it will becme a big diversion to everything else that I am doing.

I did paint a couple of bases up that came on the free sprue presented with last months Wargames Illustrated magazine and they are very tidy figures, though they take longer to paint than one first imagines when seeing them.

I do like plastic.

A minor quibble: one Confederate brigade CO is Davis, a nephew of the Confederate president. He got his brigade through nepotism, and was not a great officer.
And the glorious general led the advance
With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Thank you, an important quibble, the actual scenario has it right (thankfully - because it has been around for 5 years), but my write-up had invented a new character :)

text amended, thanks.
