Anglo Zulu War Ambulance conversions
« on: March 31, 2021, 12:10:12 PM »
A little while ago on this site we discussed the lack of appropriate Wagons for the AZW particularly Ambulances as no manufacturer makes them yet !!
An idea was put forward regarding converting the 4ground ACW Rucker wagon. So I purchased 2 of them and set to work. I am not a fan of putting these flat pack kits together as they are rather fiddly with multiple parts.
However they went together rather well even though I glued my fingers together several times  lol
Once completed I painted up some of the excellent Iron Duke draught Horses and Mules to pull them.
Anyway some pictures attached.

I really like those you've done a wonderful job. I'm also a model tree aficionado and think the ones you've got are great! Very nice minis all together.

Thanks everyone for your kind comments, it means a lot.
BC99 the trees are from The Last Valley. I normally purchase them and other items when I visit his stall at the Colours Wargames show in Newbury.
COVID rules/restrictions withstanding I hope to visit again this year and purchase some more.
Sir Gromit if you do buy a wagon from 4Ground I’d advise you to shorten the height of the cage before covering with the Canvas as it’s way too high. I also cut the length of the desselboom to fit around the necks of the 2 draught horse team.
