Mutant Bear for Zona Alfa
« on: March 16, 2021, 05:36:07 PM »
Here is a "bear" that I finished up for Zona Alfa.  It reminded me of the bear from the movie Annihilation.  It is a Reaper Numenera Ravage Bear.  He's a little buried on the website, at least I had trouble looking it up for the post.  I had to search "Numenera" to bring it up as the word "bear" did not work.  Here's the link to make it easy in case anyone wants to check it out:  https://www.reapermini.com/search/numenera/latest/62112

I really like this Ravage Bear.  I actually found it on Nobleknight.com just by chance.

Pics of the other Zone Hostiles are at the blog.  :)  https://idreamofminis.com/2021/03/15/zone-hostiles/

Nicely done.  I particularly like the way you have coloured the "bear".  Must get one for our games.

Suitably hideous. Well done.
(*I'm off to find one myself, now)

In the second last photo all I could think was...
"Run Forrest! Run!"

Great painting...and very hideous!! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks everybody for the kind words!

The color was a tough one for me.  I initially had him with grey skin but it blended too much with the stone he's on.  So, I did some research on what color a bear's skin is under the fur, and this was the best I came up with.

Love the eye snake.
Thanks, EasyE!  Not bad for my first and only home-made miniature!  :)

Nice!

Reminds me of the "Prophecy" from 1979 - movie with a mutated creature. It played a lot in the early 80s, it has an underlying environmental message. I just watched it again in October, held up pretty well in my opinion.

I can see that.  I'll have to watch that movie sometime.  :)

I can see that, too.  :)
