If you're going to concentrate on the Crusades, it's worth getting some relatively specialised rules as that was a very different conflict to the wars in Europe. So go with Lion Rampant and get the Crusader states supplement. The latter is a little over-padded with history but certainly worth having.

Bummer! Looks like you're right.

I bought mine when it was first published, though I have a tendency to do that with all Medieval rule sets.

@ traveller, Maybe but an add in the Bazaar asking if anyone has a copy with the requisite cards?

LR is still top of my list but I will read some reviews on SoG and hopefully come to a decision  ???

SoG is a very good compromise between a medium level skirmish game and a full battle game as SoG does not requite are many miniatures as some rule sets like Hail Caesar, Swordpoint etc.

Good luck in your search for a satisfactory set of rules that suit you. :)
