Epic Battles ACW
« on: April 05, 2021, 03:09:40 PM »
I bought the Epic Battles ACW starter box and talked my gaming buddy Erik into taking on the Union while I took the Confederates. And now I have painted the first miniatures. The miniatures are really nice to paint.

Superb!
The spacing looks much more accurate than F&F 3 on a base.
I'm too far in to join in with the Epic figs but I can rebase what I have.

I have been busy painting my Union force and have completed my first division of four battalions, a three-gun battery, and a commander.

The Warlord Epic miniatures are really great and I actually feel a bit guilty for not giving them more attention, because they should have. That being said there are literally hundreds of miniatures. so if I am ever to finish this project, speed is of the essence. My plan is to paint the three divisions you get in the starter pack and them supplement with a division of Zouaves and cavalry. That should give me a large enough force to play most ACW battles with BP. I might need some distraction in between though but I will defenitely plan to have it all done by the end of the year.

I have played a lot of games og BP with Napolionics a few years back with a good friend and a really liked the fast paced flow of it. Long moves and fragile battalions. Bold generals can truely take it fare ;D ;D ;D

Cheers
Erik

You've certainly brought them to life in a way that I couldn't visualise when looking at the bare miniatures
Those are superb, they are really nice and crisp and you've made the tight rank effect really stand out
I cannot pretend to feel impartial about colours. I rejoice with the brilliant ones and am genuinely sorry for the poor browns. - Winston Churchill

They look lovely en masse but your painting makes each one a masterpiece.  :-* :-*
