That most certainly looks like Legolas to me!

Thanks James; he certainly does, doesn't he? When I saw him, I was sold (and the mini shortly after). My only concern was the size of the sculpt, but that turned out just fine as well.

And cheers for that, Hobgoblin. I was indeed aware of that passage describing the difference in build between Aragorn and Boromir (regretfully, that bit is not reflected by the miniatures, but I can live with that).

To me, Elves are slighter and more lithe than Men, with Men being on average slightly taller and broader. If I were to stat them out, RPG-style, I'd say Elves are more DEX oriented, where Men are more focused on STR instead.

But this is talking about averages; there obviously are slight and lithe Men, just as there are buffed out, tall Elven individuals.

To get into the subject, I've started reading LotR again (they've just reached Tom Bombadil's house), and one passage, where Frodo, Sam and Pippin are leaving Bag End, got me wondering: should I give Sam a 'bag-like' hat, or not. I mean; even McBride has faithfully depicted one in the above artwork.

Added advantage: an accessory of that description probably lies within my sculpting abilities... ;)
Miniatures you say? Well I too, like to live dangerously...
