You are quite right. What I am looking for is a neutral background which does not distract or enhance the actual build.

Err, I missed this... Now I don't think my photo fits this description...

I have a question about the restrictions on build thread photos with painted terrain.  I stopped updating my build thread after I started painting.  However, I did a fair amount of building after the painting started.  After Hammers posts the photos of the contest entries, can I update my build thread to describe and show photos of aspects of the build that I did after painting started?

I hope so as i took photos during the painting stages with the idea that after the BSC contest, i’d update the WIP thread with the final stages.
