Fantastic use of teddy fur.  Can’t wait to see the progress

Last photo before judging.  All primed up.

Managed to paint the base and toned down the bushes to an acceptable level of green.  I also managed to mix some of my new resin to test for adverse reactions with the ink I am using to tint.  Left for this evening is to seal up the waterways to make sure there are no leaks so hopefully I can pour the resin tomorrow.

I have actually finished up at this point and have taken my final photos so I can do a mosaic.  One point.  Never use the Pebo Crystal resin from Hobbycraft.  My last bottle of my regular resin had gone off so I had to improvise.  Currently I am 96 hours into a 24 hour cure and all of the surfaces are still tacky.  After my test batch I made sure that I mixed the living hell out of it (five min of stirring) and measured by weight so I am sure it is the resin.  Just waiting to do the submission.

My sympathies on the resin. I hope that this resolves soon. Luckily you finished early (me too) and have time for it to cure before photographing.

I hope the resin cures soon. Your warning about the resin does concern me as I am planning to use resin on my build (it will be the first time I have used resin to make water/ice)  but I need to finish it and paint it first. Luckily I have bought a different brand to the one you mention so hopefully it will be OK. I look forward to seeing the pictures of your finished pieces!

If you purchased it from a company that supplies resin then you should be OK.  Unfortunately with the box stores like Hobbycraft here do not seem to remove product that has sat there too long.  I had it happen before with resin from Hobby Lobby in the States.  Whole package was unusable and I am glad that I did not ruin my mould at the time.

Congrats to everyone that made it through the first round.  Lots of real pretty builds there so the competition was tight this year.  As I am not proceeding I can post more photos of my completed build.

The long swamp grass turned out very well- great length and colour. I have some long green faux fur I should have done something similar with.

Love the new photos! Your build looks great and now you are a winner -- you have a new piece of awesome looking terrain to use in your games!
