There certainly is.  As a friend once stated after drinking a bit - "Experience comes from bad decisions. Good decisions come from experience!"

It is the very definition of Agile methodology. :)

Well, she is built and finished up.  Now I just have to get a good photo...of a 2' x 4' board.  That won't be easy.

Hammers, are we allowed to use a backdrop for the photos?  I couldn't find anything that said yea or nay.

I don't see why that wouldn't be allowed- I plan on using one. :D

Although we have in the past seen some quite remarkable entries you should not think of this as a diorama contest! The entries should be practical gaming board pieces. So rid yourselves of thoughts of fancy walnut veneer bases or artful backdrops.

This is basically nicked from the LPL rules without much further thought, and I think we have to stick to that during the initial voting round(s).

It is however stipulated that in the final round, if you make it that far, you will be allowed to make your entry as exciting as you like and that includes using backdrops.

Further to that: are the initial photos then not to be in situ as it were; ie. not on a game table?

Yes. As a stand alone piece.
