Work continues with the ducks. The good news is that I've found a caster in the EU that I might be able to work with to get these casted later this year! So now I'm spending my Summer vacation finishing up enough ducks to make a small range.
First out, I finished the crossbow duck:
I made the eyepatch head for a future pirate duck, but I thought it would fit well on this scarred veteran. I think it gave it a lot of extra character.
Next up is an archer. Not completely sold on the pose, so I'm making a mark II of it as we speak. It might be badly posed for casting.
Here's what's next on the bench. I realized I need to work with more armatures simultaneously to speed up things, as so many hours are spent on just curing. It makes less of a difference when I just have a short hobby session in the evening, but now during vacation I can work on many more at the same time.
From left, we have the start of a merchant duck, archer duck Mk II, knight mk II, backpack duck, Tanky McGoose (he's getting a big ol' warhammer and a shield!), and mage duck.
Also I'm starting to learn how to sculpt weapons, which has been a PITA this far. But I think this flamberge might be a good sign (GW sword for size comparison)
