Best Figure for Beorn (The Hobbit) Suggestions
« on: December 31, 2022, 01:26:41 AM »
I am looking at finally painting up my armies for the "Battle of the Five Armies" from "The Hobbit", and plan to have Beorn represented in his human form until he is engaged in combat. I have a great Bear figure for when he is in combat, but I am looking for suggestion to represent him in his human form in 15 MM. Actually I think a largish 15 MM figure or better yet an 18 MM figure. Definitely needs to be heavily bearded, and possibly in some sort of passive pose.

Any thoughts or suggests are very welcome and appreciated,

Terry

My top suggestion is the FM08 - 15mm Shapechangers and Cave Bears from Copplestone:

Guy on the left would make a great Beorn, and as you can see, the set even comes with bears if you want to use them instead of the one you had planned.

I'll second tikitang's suggestion (my first thought too) but I'll suggest one of the Northlander Characters if you prefer your Beorn a little better dressed.

Maybe this scibor barbarian fits better, he looks a bit rougher.
And more slender gives him a bigger pose I think. At the moment I‘m on a vacation for a few days, but if you like I can take some comparison pics on the 5.1. with the scibor and copplestone and anything, else if I got it.
