There may be some confusion here and need someone with better knowledge than me.
Illustration uniform 1809 Canada. White trousers and straps.
Illustration 1812, buff straps grey trousers.

The only picture I could find of buff trousers is on an ensign.

Isn’t google a fun thing.

Quick question. How does everyone do their napoleonic command base.
Office drum and 2 ensigns all on one base. But would be off centre with 6 base unit.
Or split then over 2 bases with soldiers either side.
Would look more aesthetically pleasing that way a colours would be centred.

For warlord black powder. How should I be arranging my British peninsula war.
Working on 6 stands of 4 figures per stand.
Should this be 1 command, 3 line and 2 of fusiliers. One at each end of the line.

I’m looking for 28mm British Peninsula soldiers to go into camp setting.
So figures not in full uniform and unarmed.
Not bothered about mixing supplies as not everyone is a standard shape and size.

I have already seen the Perry miniature range.

Also what shape of tents would the British have used.

Thankyou.
