Just ordered a couple wall sections and an Inn from Oshiro models….hopefully that will give me a little backdrop soon.
I was looking through my bits boxes and found these…result!

I was also trawling through the internet and there is some cool looking printed scenics…….but then everyone is using it and their tables all look the same 🙁
So I’m trying to resist the urge to buy it, and will try to scratch a few bits like pond and zen gardens myself. Looking at pictures of other peoples projects….the roads tend to feature a crazy paving type of theme. It got me thinking…..I have a tonne and a half of slate in my garden…..
So, to make a test piece.
2mm plasticard……cut to about 7cm wide strips. I will need to buy another sheet as this won’t be quite enough. Bevel and distress edges so not too square.

Then a quick trawl across by slate bed patio area for some flat sided chips, a quick wash…

Then superglue to secure to plate along with sand to fill gaps. I think it works. A bit rough for any cart wheels I will admit! Lol. But I’m going to paint up this section and see how it looks before spending an hour in the garden digging up chips.
