More police....painted another dozen or so...mainly more Offensive riot police (with the shields replaced), plus some more constables (couple from outpost, plus another Crooked Dice).

Some photos of the police so far....

I might add some police transfers to the shields later on

They do look rather excellent- liking the riot cops in particular! What shields did you use?

Excellent.

If you need more riot police heads, Empress Russian helmet heads with visors work nicely you file off the view slit.

I have not tried them with Crooked Dice X-Commando figures, they should work.

Thanks I’ve got some Anvil Industry ones spare, but I’ve seen the Russian helmets on your excellent thread, and expect I’ll add some to my next order from Paul  :)

A few more figures today....I fancied a change of pace, so messed about with some conversions.

The first figure is meant to be a senior RAF Officer ... I expect I’m breaking various uniform conventions with this figure, but I like the hat combo with the battle dress.

The figure is from TAG with a Crooked Dice headswop.

Next up, a test figure for the RAF Regiment - more straightforward...simply an Empress BAOR with a headswop

Finally, I wanted a couple of Royal Observer Corps figures, wearing the zip-fronted 1972 pattern No.2 RAF uniform...to my knowledge no one (understandably) makes one, so I converted some figures out of my lead pile...the left hand mini was originally from Crooked Dice, and the right was one of my Apocalypse Isle sculpts (now available from CD). Both have Empress head swops, and green stuffed jackets.

Not perfect by any means....they look better from a distance...the further away the better in fact  :D

At least it gives me an excuse to build a bunker for them at some point.

I like that Senior crab. Which TAG model was used for the donor body? Looks like it might work for another BAOR exercise umpire.

Nice to see some rarely done figures. That senior officer is typical of his type in the 80s, SD hats were common in DPM among those who didn't really have a clue lol

That’s exactly the look I was going for  lol

It’s in the Character section - Tim Collins

Yes, it's breaking dress regs, but such things were definitely seen...  ::) lol

I do like the fellas in Thunderbird jackets.  Got issued mine only then to chuck it in the bin, still in its packet and unworn, because it was (thankfully) made obsolete almost immediately.
