Yes, it's breaking dress regs, but such things were definitely seen...  ::) lol

I do like the fellas in Thunderbird jackets.  Got issued mine only then to chuck it in the bin, still in its packet and unworn, because it was (thankfully) made obsolete almost immediately.

No strings attached?

I bet you regret binning it now. probably the height of retro fashion.

Indeed!  I could have flogged it for a fortune on eBay as 'Genuine SAS and International Rescue Thunderbird Jacket (Mint)'!  :D

Part of the game/campaign I have in mind will involve players scavenging/fighting over dwindling resources, so I wanted to create some interesting counters.

After a rummage through my bits box I came up with the following:

From left to right: Clean Water - Food - Fuel - Tools

From left to right: Heat - Firearm - Ammunition - Melee Weapon

I’m going to add some more counters to represent Medical Supplies, a Radio etc

As I had a couple of oil drums left over, I made a simple checkpoint, which I expect will get plenty of use.

I like them too.  I gotta do up some markers like that....I'll add that to my long and winding painting queue....

They are great. ‘Food’ looks like a liquid lunch!

Very nicely done - I particularly like the rust on the oil drums.

Thanks everyone, glad you like the test pieces...more on the todo list  :)

Managed to grubby up and base a Police Forward Command Vehicle....sounds impressive, but think of it as somewhere to make a cuppa and keep out of the wind  :D

The model is a Corgi 1/50 scale, so perfect for my project.

A number of these vehicles were former “mobile column” trucks, and offered to Police forces during the 1970s...at least one was in service until 1988 so that’s good enough for me.

I love this quote from someone that drove one:

“it was quite a beast to drive, top speed of about 50 mph, down hill! Uphill you could walk quicker”.  lol

Ah!  The infamous Rolls Canardlie.

Rolls down hills and can 'ardly get up them.

Excellent counters, where did you get those saws?

That command vehicle looks good.

Black Cat Bases have loads of useful bits like these to represent supply counters etc

The other components mainly come from Crooked Dice, TTCombat or Old Crow (the ammo boxes)

Managed to get some RL Bedfords painted and based today - 1/50 Corgi diecasts.

I’ve replaced the rear of two of them, as I wanted a couple of flatbeds to carry supplies....I’ve got a scenario in mind for a “protect the convoy” game. Have left off the wing mirrors... didn’t have enough for all of them, and tbh, they were pretty flimsy.
