So, following the recommendations here, I ordered a box of plague Zombies along with the backfill order for the now late and lamented TWD:AOW.
The box contains four identical sprues of five figures each.

The figures have to be assembled carefully, the heads and bodies only work in some combinations.

Here is the first two and a Quarantine 37 metal zombie.

They look like a dance troupe.

This figure is the nominal leader for my Five Parsecs from Home campaign.

An engineer (inspired by some Miyazaki characters).

The body is Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder, the arms from the Stargrave Crew and the head from the Oathmark Human Infantry.
There is still some filling to add.

Low-Tech heavy.

Body from the Ghost Archipelago Sailors set, head and arms from the Frostgrave Barbarian set.
Filling and detail to add.

This figure is for my Five Parsecs from Home campaign.

One of two refugees that make up part of my Five Parsecs from Home campaign.
When I was rolling up the crew, two had the same "Alien Oppressed Human" background and I rolled up two Infantry Lasers.

Wargames Atlantic Cannon Fodder body and arms. The head is from the Stargrave Crew set.

Some filling and details toads.

So, one of the crew for my Five Parsecs from Home has a religious background, and ended up receiving a shotgun from the weapons rolls.

Originally I was going to use one of the Frostgrave Wizards bodies, but decided that one of the female Wizards II bodies would make a good base. The arms are from the Stargrave Crew II set.

I wanted something different for the head, and noticed that the Great Escape Games Gunfighters II figures had compatible heads.

That’s a cool looking kitbash! It looks like all the parts will meld together in the paint job. I’m looking forward to seeing how it turns out.

Some sprue photographs of the recent Stargrave Mercenaries II release.

I will do a weapon breakdown soon.

I have not assembled any yet, but I have used one of the heads on a Barbarians II figure.
