Frontier Campaign 1758 - Day 3 - 1st Battle - AAR
« on: June 24, 2021, 08:05:39 PM »

Our local South Florida Miniatures Gaming Club, SMG,  has started a horse and musket era campaign. It’s set during the French and Indian War in North America, cira 1758. We've all played lots of one off games, they are fun, exciting, even nail biting. However, nothing compares to campaign games when each battle has ramifications for the next. My good friend Jorge whom I've been gaming with for 44+ plus years now surprised our group by volunteering to run a campaign for us. He's a horse and musket guy who always runs a great 1700-1800’s game and has awesome Naps and 7 Years War collections.

Check out my blog for the AAR. I used a new app, kind of comic book style. Please let me know what you think.

BillK, yes sir, scratch built by Herb Gundt. It’s a beauty. Pictures don’t do it justice.

Great game and AAR.  Lovely minis and terrain, especially the fort.  Tough day for His Royal Majesty's brave red-coated men, but I suspect they'll be back... :)

I'll be watching how this plays out!

Very nice, thank you.

With a glorious swish of his sword and his lance
And a glorious clank of his tin-plated pants. - Dr. Seuss

Thank you for the feedback! The next game will also be Day 3 of the campaign, however we will be playing the French attack on British Fort #3 which is happening at the same time.

Great table and excellent presentation. Looks like you folks had fun. That comic book app is clever.

Thanks Grumpy, it was fun! Our next game is 24 July. Yes, I thought it would be an interesting way to do an AAR.
