Those look exceptionally useful.
Has he reinterpreted the horse head stand pole on the painted figure or am I just missing it on the frames ?
It's a nice touch hiding the body join under the reigns .Any fit issues will be easily corrected/ filled with out worrying about muscle contours or the detailing.

horse head for standard is on sprue, looks like that or an helmeted head option (although it might just be a head, there are a few).

Looks nice for human cavalry option

Top right in the Command part of the frame between the Command (enclosed helmet) Head and the double headed axe.

They are due out late May.
I have just given you all my money, and Royal Mail frowns on sending body parts through the post...

They look very good, and make a good sized unit.

Now I need to learn to paint horses...

Cheers,
But that's not what I ment. There's an arm for the horse head to make a standard. Kevin has made it as a back banner. I was wondering if it was a conversion or a kit part. Simply because it's the one thing I always get grumbling pm's and emails about( when you move away from the original frames before and after its released.)

Mark.

It's definitely a conversion. I think this is the Kev has fun stage and not the show the kit as is stage.

Great horse sculpts and Kev has done a splendid job as usual.... but...

I understand the desire to tie them in with the foot soldiers but those rectangular shields are completely useless on a horse. It's also disappointing that the heads all appear to be the same as the infantry which seems like a missed opportunity to add even more variety to these and the infantry.

I have to admit my first thoughts on seeing the shields were.Well their going in the bin.Followed by I wonder how many Rohan shields do I have floating about. Or do I have enough spare metal Saxon shields.

The possibility of mounted archers is a nice touch. Though the inclusion of hooded heads put me in mind of the late  80's Mounted elves from Citadel/ GW.( not a bad thing. its just what that combination of parts brought to mind.)
