Question Re Footsore Baron's War Miniatures

I just placed a late pledge order on the recent Baron's War KS. The minis look awesome. However, the mounted models look to be on narrow 'pill' bases. As these are metal minis, are those narrow bases wide enough to support a metal mini? What are the bases made out of a heavy material? It just seems like these minis might be top heavy and easily knock over if the table gets bumped.

Also, has anyone put these minis on washers?

The pill bases are 1" wide x 2" deep x 2mm thick and work well with the figures.

Attached picture has a Crusader Miniatures knight on the right and then 3 Footsore knights.

The bases are spot on as the rider sits well on the horse they don't tip

Would they fit on 40mm round bases?

I just checked a pack of FS knights and it is 50/50, some will just about fit on a 40mm round, others will definitely need 50mm to avoid overhanging the base edge.

Thanks for checking. My LotR cavarly is on 40mm base, it would be nice if my medievals could match for reasons that I don't really have . I guess if I was playing Lion Rampant or something.
