I'm feeling the Call of Cthulhu

I only have a basic outline of HPL's work. Tell me, why purple robes for Cultists?

I reckon it’s just the rule of cool - from memory HP typically described his cultists as “mongrel” types dressed in rags, sweepings of the gutter types.

Mine have various coloured robes depending on their affiliation.

I think I'm going to theme mine on the graphic novel Fatale with the main villain being Bishop and/or The Yellow King

I'm doing mine in black, I like it for it's rarity value.  And of course I can always use them for the Neighbourhood Watch Alliance as well.

My 16-year old daughter recently told me purple was the most evil looking colour. Not sure where that notion came from, but she does really well in art, so it must be right!

Getting excited & making jokes about dropping Nepalm on little Asian Children in a Viet' village doesn't make it ok just because 'it's wargaming & not real'. You wanker scum need to look again at the real photographic horror of such chemical weapons. Seriously Disgusting mind set amongst some you.

Due to the purple dye being incredibly expensive it is often associated with religious and secular power, luxury and monetary ambition.  Thus it is seen to represent gluttony, lust, greed, pride, arrogance, idleness, excess and envy.
