1st Corps new Roman figures
« on: May 07, 2021, 10:34:07 PM »
Hello everyone, normally only post in modern and WW2 but I went to see Simon and Michael at 1st Corps the other day and came away with some of their lovely new Romans in segmented armour.

Are they the same size as the old ones? And if not are the older ones still available?
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

Thanks for the information. I am after some Roman Legionaries for use with the 2FL's "Infamy" rules. I recently bought some Warlord cavalry and Auxilia which are very nice but a tad small, but don't want their plastic Legionaries. Other manufacturers seem too big,  and these could fit the bill nicely. Can you say how they scale up size-wise to any other manufacturer's figures?

Vodkafan, looking at the website the older packs are still available and don't seem to have been re-sculpted. .  These extra two two packs just seem to have been added to the range

Thanks.

They are on the smaller size, I have a couple of the Warlord figures in my Romans and they fit in well.

Rick, thanks for the clarification. The only similar-sized figures I could think of are Foundry and they are very expensive way of buying only 16-24 figures.

I sense an order to 1st Corps coming on.

Many thanks for bringing these to my attention . Problem solved!

I would suggest a test order, I would say they are only slightly bigger than the original Warlord Imperial Roman Legionaries. Warlord's plastic Auxiliary figures are bigger in height and bunk compared to 1st corps which I would say are almost the traditional 25mm scale.

I don't know how to cross reference but there was a topic called   '1st Corps Roman at the scale or not ?' Check that out it shows the size of 1st corps.
