Hubrius Maximus and his pilum armed men chanting "It's coming Rome" as they snake their way through the Teutoburger forest for just one more victory before moving camp for winter. My slow cooker Roman army project is moving forwards. I have so far primed figures enough for the rest of the year at the pace I am making.
I have never delved into Roman history before but the "History of Rome" podcast is just perfect for me. Each episode is some 20 min long which fits nicely with a run. I am also trying to get through the Netflix docudrama Roman Empire. I must say this style of documentary is a bit much for me... lots of dramatical music cues at every corner. Sometimes I just like it better when the narrator is an old grognard and half the visuals are stills.... haha!
I went and got some trays for the figures too. I am a bit split on the subject - it is nice while gaming, but it sort of looks a bit off with the spacing between the figures. Maybe when I have a full unit of 12, I'll snap a photo and you can see what you think.
