Gandamak!
« on: May 15, 2021, 11:10:50 AM »
So things have been a bit quiet as we wait to get back to face to face gaming and whilst waiting I've been busy painting the 'Gandamak' figures from Iron Duke Miniatures.
The usual excellent standard of sculpting from Paul Hicks.

A 16 figure set representing Lt Soutar and remnants of the 44th Regt and their 'Last Stand' at Gandamak.
I must stress that whilst they make an excellent diorama these are wargame figures and are made to be played with 😀👍

I think Paul has captured the original painting beautifully.
Each character is there but in wargame form.

Great figures, and you've painted them beautifully, Jeff. Real top job. I always wanted to recreate the scene from the famous painting, though for a long time it seemed like it would have to be a hefty conversion project. I don't suppose I ever will get around to it, but I'm sure glad that you can do it with some really nice figures these days.

Thanks Plynkes, I can see a few last stand scenarios being played using these  :)

Thanks Paul, and thanks for the heads up on the cavalry figures, they're a bit if a blast from the past but still looking very nice, even if I say so myself  ;) lol
