20mm Firefly
« on: May 17, 2021, 07:50:21 PM »
A Firely with some varied stowage.
The figures are from the up coming British Tank Crew range pencilled in 6th June, pics of the rest will be up soon.
The kit is a PSC one.

Love that stowage, is that scratchbuilt or from a supplier (or mix of suppliers?)?

Hi all glad you like.
Most of it is scratch built, theres a bit from Value Gear at the rear ( always excellent stuff VG), spare tracks from OKB and some of it nicked from my Jalopy kit as is the .30 cal. Decals are from Dan Taylor ( I think). The sand skirt panniers are fettled from the kit.

Lovely miniature and painting, especially the crate of wine on the back decks.  :D

Lots of very nicely observed detail there, from the mud guards used to contain the rear stowage (a distinctive 4 Armoured Brigade thing) to the ammo boxes used for the additional stowage and, yes, the necessary liquid refreshment for the crew  8)
I did a troop of 44 RTR Shermans for my Normandy CoC tank force (but not as nicely!) If you check out the thread on tank markings by SquireBev you will see that we may have to replace the Arm of Service markings on our vehicles as latest research suggests the the background colour was not red...
