I saw that on your blog Simon- I assume that there will be traps, treasures and perhaps a part of 4 lost adventurers.

Will there be a dragon

I have all the minis for the Hydaspes but most of the Indians (and there are a lot of them!) are unpainted. Where possible I'm going to use some of the same minis for both- the new phalanx I'll be showing in some months will be used for Hydaspes too, also the companion cavalry and some other minis.

Sorry for being slightly off topic here but would love to see a size comparison between different indian miniatures if you ever get the chance!

Hi will take photos at some stage.  For Indian miniatures I can summarise:

Vendel - biggish 28mm
The Miniature Company - biggish 28mm
1st Corps - smaller 28mm.

The first two ranges are very compatible, and luckily I have most of the minis I need form them as they are hard to source. Vendel can be got from Thistle and Rose in the US, TMC aren't being made at the moment.  1st Corps is probably the sensible way to go if in the UK.  For elephants, I love the Aventines.

To add to the above:

Old Glory has a complete range of smallish 28mm Indians. They are a mixed bag but paint up nice in units.

Newline Designs include both large and medium 28’s the newer six pack sets are larger. I think their Indians are quite nice but the poses are less dynamic than newer figures.

1st Corps are smaller but their chariots are very nice.

I'll second this about the Old Glory Indian elephants. My Warlord armored elephants look like mastodons next to them  lol

Essex Miniatures also have a decent range. Somewhere between 1st Corps and TMC/Vendel in size. Their elephants are very nice (I think there are a few lurking in Simon's massive herd...)

1st Corps on the left, the other two are Essex.

The Warlord ones are out of scale IMO. The Old Glory are small compared to Aventine- but Aventine are not out of the solar system.

Yes I have a couple of Essex veteran elephants in the Indian Indian herd. They are quite acceptable but I have come to prefer the portability of resin. I've just ordered some printed elephants that may be lighter, still.

That somehow doesn't shock me in the slightest  lol

There will be a lull before I finish anything else for the project, but here are some chariots for Seleucus that I finished basing back in February. Mix of Vendel and Gripping Beast Polemarchs, mostly painted by chum Shaun McTague.

Stunning!
I’m thinking of getting the GB ones as captured versions for my nutty Galatian army.
Just stick a Celt driver in there.

A millionaire trapped in a peasants body!
