180 = Still sopping wet from the river, Tribesmen rush the Imperial Infantry.
A bloody melee sees the Brits cut down.
181 = On the other wing the Afghans, who had be taking galling casualties
from the Indian gun, note a drop-off in the rate of fire. Taking this as
the Imperial troops running out of ammunition, they charge over the
wooden bridge...
Some desperate last ditch loading and fighting over the cannon ended with
a mound of Afghan dead & some very relieved gunners.
182 & 183 = After a heroic stand on the Iron bridge, during which they withstood
rifle, machine gun & cannon fire, the Roles Royce finally goes down.
Some VCs due here.
184 = With the bridge now free, tribesmen rush over.
185 & 186 = Carefully following the Afghans were the Russian Cavalry , though in
the reports that went back to Moscow...
they valiantly took the lead

187 = The last remaining Rolls is overwhelmed by bloodthirsty tribesmen.
At this point it was agreed that whoever remained out of the British troops
would rush for the train & get out of there.
An enjoyable game, which all players played up to their briefing & in the right spirit.
Especial thanks to:-
Bob, our genial host & spreader of the glorious peoples revolution
JC, provender provider & leader of the impressive suicidal charge of the cannon
Garry, for not letting a 10' deep river stop his bloodthirsty tribesmen
Ian, who maintained a stiff (British) upper lip at all times, even when hacked down
in the melee.
Next year we might venture into the Mexican (1910) revolution. Watch this space.
