Thanks for your kind words!  Like I said, I'll post piccies of the other 6, likely tomorrow evening.  I also plan to do up another dozen or so, with various weapons from the afore-mentioned sprues (and maybe others).

I have at least one scenario for them in mind....I have Warlord's MASH set, and a few casualties from Tiny Terrain.  I'm thinking of a Russian attack on a partisan-held village (that includes a civilian medical station the partisans are protecting, perhaps with US SF help) somewhere in an un-named "former Soviet republic"...I'll see what I come up with, and post relevant details here...

Well, after a slight delay, here's the other six.  The first 2 pics are the chaps with AKs, and the 2nd 2 pics the guys with M16s.  The 5th pic is these 6 together, while the 6th pic is the whole lot so far.

I have 10 more done up with various weapons (M16s, M4s, a Sig-Sauer AR, AKs, a Dragunov, a civilian hunting rifle, a m3 Benelli, and a couple with older weapons (a revolver and a WW2 bolt gun).  It is, at least in part, a "come as you are" party, after all....I'll paint them up after I do a Vietnam GI squad and a PAVN squad...

Great to see those WA resistance models being put to other uses so well.

And so much else to love in this thread, especially the law enforcement models. Brilliant!

I like ' em.
But, oh no, they inspired me to do another project: equip these figures with tommy guns, revolvers and shotguns to represent gangsters/mobsters.
Will have to look in the Pulp section whether this has already been done.
And buy the figures, and some vehicles, and....

T.

Thanks fellas!

@mikedemana:  Perhaps at Drums and/or AtC this year....we'll have to see what I come up with.... :)

@Sgt_T:  They would easily work for that.  Couple tips:  There's a Winchester 1897 on Warlord's older Bolt Action US weapons sprue.  And their ProjectZ survivors' weapon sprues include both double barrel shotguns and guns that could easily pass for Winchester Model 12s (that's the one I used with these chaps).  The WA French Resistance set comes with 8 arms with revolvers.  As far as correct tommy guns go in plastic, the various 8th army kits have a couple, but their arms have short sleeves (if that matters).

Depending on the circumstances, size does matter  :D
I mean, short sleeves in the former USSR? Summer only!  :)

Yes well, it seems there's a war on.  One does what one has to, even if it's a tad chilly out....:D

I was poking around for my leftover Tiny Terrain Chechens today, in response to an inquiry in the "Bazaar..." section of the LAF, and decided to take pics of the Tiny Terrain (and a few Empress) Chechens I have painted up.  They do duty as Chechens, of course, but also as any generic eastern European/Former Soviet Republic guerilla or paramilitary unit.

I have a commander, an RPG team, 2 PKM teams, a sniper team, 3 "squads", and 2 technicals with HMGs in them.  See the pics below...

Thanks, Digits!  It does seem wars are a bit hard on civilian vehicles, doesn't it...? ;)
