Hi All
A few pics and short comments on last nights Barons wars game in our clum.
1. Overview Lord Roed on the left side and Lord TangoPop on the right, the mission is the messenger, with Lord Roed having 3 civilians (representing the messengers and 2 decoys), small boy, lady and nobleman (lady and noble man slightly early on the fashion)
2. Lord Roed deployment, notice the small boy in the wheatfield, is he the true messenger?
3. Lord Roeds center and left flank, notice the lady behind the mounted knights, and the nobleman with the footknights.
4. Lord TangoPops deployment, Crossbowmen and knights on his right flank, bowmen and spearmen in the center.
5. Lord TangoPops foot sergeants and levies on his left flank, but who is facing the real messenger?
6. The fight startet off with exchanging missiles, Lord Tangopops troops initially winning that duel, Lord Roeds foot knigts and mounted knights taking 2 casualties each, while Lord Tangopop only loosing one bowman, Tangos Crossbowmen sealing of the flank, while Roeds footknights were hurrying for cover, or where they actually pressing in on the middle with his knights crossbowmen and spearmen.
7. Lord Roeds spearmen did short work of Lord tangopops bowmen who quickly ran for their lives.
8. Lord Tango pressed forward on his left flank, his foot sergeants charging Lord Roeds other spearmen sending them running with the young boy, if he is the true messenger it doesnt look good for Lord Roed.
9. Continuing the succes Lord Tangopops levies charges the bowmen who has to fall back.
10. Lord Tangopop counter charges with his spearmen making Lord Roeds spearmen pull back, but this made an opening for Lord Roeds knights to charge them in return and they fled, faling to rally in the subsequent turn both bowmen and spearmen fled the battlefield, with Lord Tangos Knights out of range Lord Roeds knights gallantly escorted the Lady messenger thru the enemy line.
Despite being the one taking the far most casualties Lord Roed socceeded in getting his real messenger across the table, but it was close, had Lord Tangopop moved his knights to support the center in time he could have won it, as he was winning most of the melees and surely the shooting duel.
