Help needed- can anyone identify these Greeks please?
« on: June 11, 2021, 11:52:01 AM »
I would like to know who makes them so I can get some more.
I am going to build a wargames army, a big beautiful wargames army, and Mexico is going to pay for it.

2019 Painting Challenge :
figures bought: 500+
figures painted: 57
9 vehicles painted
4 terrain pieces scratchbuilt

They look like Vendel miniatures, I think badger games in the US bought them but haven't looked whether they've released them

None of the poses match with those pictured on the 1st Corps website though...
I don't have Facebook so I will email Thistle and Rose thanks.

Thanks all that seems pretty conclusive then! Thistle and Rose confirmed they are not theirs.

James, if you are thinking of ordering some from 1st Corp,
let me know & I might order somethings from them too.
We could even raid the War-Chest. 8)

The odd thing is that NONE of those poses are shown on the 1st Corps website. I have emailed them.

The first 1st Corps figures were like these, then they were redone, probably 2005ish or so. I had some of these with spears. I still have many of the shields- which were big for the 1st Corps hoplites. They are great for larger figures, but they don't have any interior detail. They do have very nice pin in the center. They are very smooth shields and not too rounded so they paint up nice and really take transfers well. And if you are fanatical - you can paint on the interior straps like we used to do on our Minfigs!
