Has anyone got any pics or feedback on the Redoubt Minis Wellington in India range? Their website just has drawings and I'm not getting much luck with google image search! cheers

Redshank, I can’t help with photos but in my experience the line drawings were pretty accurate representations of the figures. The issue you really want to watch is the age of the moulds. The range is now quite old and I don’t know if Andy Grubb has done anything since he bought them from Redoubt. I am not implying they are in poor condition but worth thinking about.

I used some of the British infantry and staff officers for my Fishguard 1797 project in 2014.  They're probably the largest '28mm' I've come across, but they're pictured here standing next to Foundry, Perry, Knuckleduster and Warlord 28mm figures and look fine on the table next to other manufacturers.  I just wouldn't mix them in the same units!

They are LARGE....closer to 30mm-32mm in height.  I had picked up a bunch of them for rabble in my Indian Mutiny forces.  They tower over my Foundry figures.  BUT...with some creative basing, I have mixed them in with Foundry and they look alright.  Here are a couple photos.  You can see the height differences if you look closely.

I do not think that the height disparity could be as easily hidden in regular Infantry where a more regimented look is sought.

Good luck.

Wow, somebody has been on the Baby Bio - those Redoubt are big lads.

However those pics suggest the differences do fade on the tabletop... cheers for the advice

Same with their F&IW First Nations - absolutely massive compared to all the other 25/28mm ranges of tribesmen out there.
No plan survives first contact with the dice.

For some better comparison, my Redoubt mounted officers pictured above are pictured next to a Perry plastic French Hussar (converted into a Yeomanry officer) and the infantry are pictured next to some Perry plastic ACW (converted into Royal Navy) and some Foundry AWI British infantry.  I used the Redoubt Wellington figure for a mounted colonel and he's pictured next to a Foundry musician and in front of a line of Perry AWI.
