Finished this artillery piece for the second force today. Perry ACS cannon with WotR bodies for the crew. A basic artillery has four wounds in Sludge, so four crew. The knight officer can be used to represent the Veteran Crew upgrade, which provides an extra wound. In game, only the artillery piece really maters so the crew are more tokens than anything else.

Good stuff, really liking the crew conversions - for me though the gun could be a bit dirtier, it looks very silver and shiny (at least in this photo)

Good point, this is my regular dirty metal recipe but a big cylindrical object like this might need more grime and soot.

Adding some gribbly bits might help as well - the ACW canons have very clean lines.

Also finally got these finished, a second unit of Line Infantry for the Staaren duchy. Only five bases, as I ran out of bodies. These are a mix of Claymore metal crossbows and Perry mercenaries. No real kitbashing to talk about, but with the paint job they should fit right in.

They look good

You must have two decent sized forces now?

Thank you! Very much getting there indeed. I plan to finish four foot knights and three arcanists in this theme, and then see exactly where I've landed on points.

And one more unit done, four foot knights with muskets. You may notice that these have Napoleonic heads instead of the medieval theme of the rest of the force. There is no particular reason for this, except that I built them before really establishing the theme. They were even briefly painted in a different scheme. I was back and forth about including these or building new, but in the end decided that I like the conversions and to just go with it.

Now I just have the three Arcanists to finish and then I am planning on doing some solo test games.

I think they look great! The inconsistency with the heads of the other units is not a problem, quite the opposite with Sludge in my opinion.

Those look great!

I still am very impressed with how well the Naps and WoTR kits go together - to create something familiar yet totally different.

And a couple of hours later we are done! Well, kind of. 290 pts painted for this force, enough for a 275 pt practice game. Will add another couple of minis later to get up to 350.

Arcanists finished, the Baalka sisters (or clones as some whisper being their backs):

275 pt list all together:

A great looking force - can’t believe the speed you have turned these around in.

They look very coherent as a force. I think some cavalry would be a good addition to take you to 350pts
